Perkampungan Torosiaje / Suku Bajo

Secara geografis Desa Terapung Torosiaje berada di atas Teluk Tomini. Sementara jika dilihat secara administratif, desa yang satu ini masuk ke dalam wilayah Kecamatan Popayato, Kabupaten Pohuwato, Gorontalo. cukup jauh dari Kota Gorontalo, sekitar 240 km dengan waktu tempuh kira-kira 4 hingga 5 jam perjalanan darat, ditambah beberapa menit perjalanan laut dengan menggunakan perahu selama 10 hingga 15 menit. Penduduk Desa Torsiaje yang didominasi oleh suku Bajo pun memiliki kehidupan normal. Hampir semua hunian warga Desa Torosiaje terbuat dari kayu, dengan pondasi dari batang pohon yang cukup besar dengan ketinggian sekitar tiga hingga lima meter dari atas permukaan laut

The Floating Village of Torosiaje geographically stands on the Tomini Bay. But if we see it through administrative, this village is being included into the area of Popayato sub-district, Pohuwato regency, Province of Gorontalo. It took around 240km by vehicles that might spent approximately 5-6 hours trip by car from the downtown and adding 10-15 minutes trip by boat to the exact location. The villager of Torosiaje village which is Bajo Ethnich Group is having a common life. Almost the entire house of the villagers is made by wood with a foundation of big tree trunks by the height of 3-5 meters from above the sea level.
